Roving Reporter | "Return to Market Days" by Jeanette Larson

Food trucks and vendors

In August Fulton Market Days merged with Rockport Market Days for a bigger event. The new entity was a huge success and planned to expand to two days in September. Those plans were disrupted by Hurricane Harvey but the Market returned in October. Held on the third Saturday and Sunday each month more than 125 vendors participated. According to the planners that was only a post-Harvey decrease of 10 vendors. Traffic was excellent and revenues were exceptionally high, with many locals willing to spend. While some vendors did not stay for Sunday's market, about 70% did. Market Days also enjoyed an early visit from Santa Claus, who will return in November.
