Roving Reporter | "Christmas Tamales in Rockport" by Jeanette Larson


Attorney Ray Thomas provided a sumptuous tamale dinner and over 600 toys for Rockport families on Sunday, December 10th at the Rockport American GI Forum. The party featured a visit from Santa, holiday music, and lots of food. Thomas, an attorney from McAllen is a candidate for Chief Justice of the 13th District Court of Appeals and has provided volunteers to help with area clean-up and rebuilding. He stated that his goal in hosting this holiday party was to let the people of Rockport and Aransas County know that they have not been forgotten and to applaud the progress that has been made in rebuilding the community.
