Mid-Coast Texas Master Naturalist | "Master Naturalists Learn to Monitor Whooping Cranes and Shorebirds"

On December 13th and 14th, a group of Texas Master Naturalists from the Mid-Coast area participated in classes learning how to monitor endangered Whooping Cranes and other shorebirds.

At the two-day class, the Texas Master Naturalist group teamed up to monitor the Whooping Cranes by video. The second day, all students boarded the Skimmer and went out to observe about 17 families.

The Texas Master Naturalists are currently recruiting for their 2018 class, which begins February 3. Anyone interested in joining the group can contact Mollie Huber at mollie.huber@sbcglobal.net.
