Special thanks to International Economic Development Council (IEDC) for sponsoring and helping recover our economy after Hurricane Harvey. Action oriented sessions will be held during the week with smaller groups to develop the following areas:

We are developing the Economic Recovery Plan Jan. 8-12 from the input generated in the Community Workshops. Do you have any interest in being involved in the action steps in any of the following areas: 1.) Tourism revitalization, 2.) A stronger and more coordinated volunteer effort that relates to VolunTOURism, 3.) Stronger downtown Rockport and 4.) Downtown Fulton activities and 5.) Development of a small business tool kit with programs to get them back up and running. Housing and Communications areas are being handled by the Aransas County Long Term Recovery Team.

This is the first step in creating a plan for economic recovery. A special thanks goes to the attendees attending the Community Workshops in December. It is now time to take those goals and put them into an implementation plan.
