Community Information | "Debris Removal Deadline February 12"

February 12, 2018 is the deadline for dragging debris out to the roadside for pick-up by Crowder-Gulf, the storm debris contractor hired by Aransas county with a combination of federal and state funds. After February 12, there will be other kinds of clean-up programs available, but not the patrolling trucks constantly picking up roadside debris. Residents of the county are reminded to separate piles into vegetation, building materials, and appliances. Tires and loose concrete can not be picked up by Crowder-Gulf.

February 12 is also the deadline for submitting applications for Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) to FEMA. This can be done at the Aransas County Library in person or at the Disaster Group’s website, https://www.aransascounty.org/harvey. If you think you need help removing debris from your property, register now. You can always cancel the application but after February 12 you won't be able to apply. Call 361-790-9496 for help with this process, and well as for help from the many aid organizations that can assist with demolition and debris removal as well as repair and re-construction of homes.
