Education updates March 8, 2018
CORRECTION: Watercolor Classes will be March 14 and 21.

We have some exciting one and two day class opportunities coming up this month. We are intentionally a little lighter on education programming this month as our Winter friends begin to depart and the Spring Break guests arrive. We are also looking forward to hosting a major workshop the last week of the month with the delightful Suzie Baker. We have just a few seats still open for this exciting opportunity, so if you are interested let me know soon!

Happy Creating!

Responding to Nature:
Plein Air Oil Painting Workshop
with Susie Baker
Signature Member of
Oil Painters of America
The workshop will kick off with a lecture and demo. Students receive instruction on principles of painting ranging from drawing, color, value, composition, color theory and so much more. Every day, you will apply what is being taught by getting outside and painting, observing and recording nature as it changes. Suzie will demo on location and offer one-on-one instruction in the field at every student’s easel.

Suzie’s goal is to help each student identify their level of mastery and provide strategies for personal progression through group instruction, example, and individual interaction. Her humorous, informative manner makes tackling this multi-faceted challenge a fun and rewarding experience.

“Not only is Suzie an accomplished Plein Air painter, AND portrait artist, but she is one of the nicest people you’ll meet. When having a conversation with her, you get the feeling that she’s really listening. She’ll offer you good and constructive advice, and throw in a couple of favors as well! In the short time that I’ve known her, she’s bent over backward for me. She’s a kind, “giving”, artist.”
-Marjorie Hicks
