Job & Housing Fair coming to Rockport-Fulton area April 3

People in the Rockport-Fulton area are still recovering from Hurricane Harvey. The two main issues for residents in that community continue to be affordable housing and jobs.

That's why the Aransas County Long-term Recovery Team is hosting a housing and job fair next Tuesday, April 3.

Representatives from FEMA, Housing and Urban Development, the Small Business Administration, Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend, and many more will be on hand to provide assistance and information for residents. It's being described as a "one-stop shop" for information and guidance.

Among the services to be provided are:
  • Housing resources
  • Housing counseling
  • Loans
  • Flood insurance
  • Foreclosure prevention
  • Legal services
  • Crisis counseling
  • Credit counseling
The event will be held from 1-7 p.m. April 3 at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Rockport.
