A Great Weekend to Buy Art, by Vicki Totten, Roving Reporter

The festival is getting underway, thanks to the work of many staff and volunteers.

The 2018 Rockport Art Festival is about to get underway, with the festival grounds already hopping with activity, and it is barely after daybreak. It is a beautiful day and the artists displaying their work are ready for you to visit their booths. Don't forget to also stroll downtown after you have purchased your art and visit the downtown merchants and restaurants or to take a walk on the beach.

If you have wondered if Rockport is back or not, come see for yourself.

Many of the volunteers that help make this festival happen are also established artists.

Curator of Exhibitions and golf cart driver Elena Rodriguez is already on the run.

Education Director Karen Ernst somehow always has a smile on her face.

The morning along Water Street is filled with fisher men and women.

Hopefully these fishermen are out early so they can visit the festival later.
