Recycling Correctly:

So, you aren't "wasting" your time...

Did you know, Republic Services has no other option than to throw some of our recycling away? Many people don't realize that if you do it wrong, your recycling and anyone else it comes in contact with will actually end up going to our landfill.

If nothing else,
Just remember  these 3 words: Empty - Clean - Dry

What is Recyclable?

Newspaper, Envelopes, Junk mail, Phone books, Brochures, Magazines

Ream wrappers, File folders, Poster board Frozen food boxes, Cardboard boxes, Milk cartons

Water bottles, Clean Take-out containers, Soda bottles

Aluminum beverage cans, Food cans, Scrap metal

The "Don't You Dare(s)" of Recycling:
Incandescent light bulbs
Fluorescent tubes
Computers & electronics
Needles or syringes
Hazardous waste
Paint | Toxic material containers
Yard waste

Sorry, Can't Recycle These Either:
Aerosol cans
Aluminum foil
Food waste | Dirty Pizza Boxes
Napkins | Paper towels | Tissues
Ceramic | Glass windows | Pyrex | Mirrors
Plastic bags
Shredded paper | Stickers/Address labels
